Customers visiting your site will not need anything more than their web browser to shop. Total Merchant Manager has been designed with your customers in mind. Many shopping carts require customers to download and install the latest browsers, special plug-ins or to wait for cumbersome Java applets to load and execute.
Total Merchant Manager does not. Total Merchant Manager will work on any browser on any computer, something your customers will enjoy. They need only to select the products they want and checkout. It's that easy.
Merchants
The list of requirements for merchants is very small. Total Merchant Manager is designed to be installed on any standard web server, and has been installed on hundreds of servers around the globe with different configurations. It is also designed to make management as easy as connecting to a web page.
Server - The largest requirement for TMM is that the web server that is hosting your web site needs to be running the latest version of PERL and be able to execute CGI scripts within your directories. This is commonly not an issue as most ISP's keep their servers up to date.
Technicians install TMM on your web server for you and check to see if these requirements are in place. If they are not we work with the you and your ISP to try and resolve any problems. If no resolution can be found technicians can still guarantee setup -- since TMS can offer full ISP/CSP hosting services to its clients. In almost all cases the installation process goes smoothly.
Shopping Cart - Managing your shopping cart is rather simple. However, if you have had no experience with HTML or CGI we recommend that you work with someone who does, as it will streamline the setup process. Management of your site is done through a secure web management application that you can access live over the Internet, or through
a desktop management application that resides on your local PC. Both have a complete set of documentation to help you.
